Free resources for the web
A couple of resources which could be used great in web design are the ones created in Illustrator; scalable, editable and looking great.
- FireFox in vector, by Tocki. The file is 1.21MB large and in EPS-format.
This one is very useful for showing of your webdesign in FireFox, without your taskbar, open tabbars etc. - Web stickers are widely used in the web 2.0 websites.
These ones are customizable with your own text, colors or whatever you like. They are presented in EPS (2.4MB) and PNG (1.8MB).
Aside the vector’s, textures are still highly popular for background designs and websites. When used good, it can look awesome (like in the PSDTuts tutorial).
- Color grunge textures, by Princess of Shadows on deviantART.
Like it say’s: grunge textures. Contains 5 different textures. - Use this 37, by Inthename-Stock on deviantART.
One abstract, wood-like texture. 1600*1200 resolution. - Beauty 95, by Inthename-Stock on deviantART.
Another brown, abstract texture with stars and flowers. 1576*1489 resolution.
Free fonts are always welcome and can be found a lot. But good, usable fonts can be hard to find. I think the following can please a lot of you.
- Gnuolane, by Typodermic on dafont.com.
A tight, modern headline font in 5 weights. - Misprinted type.
A wellknown collection of great, mostly grunge fonts. Great for use in the wicked worn style.
